Franco Grignani (1908 - 1999) was born near Pavia, Italy. He studied architecture in Turin but his work has always been devoted to experimentation in optical visual phenomena applied to painting, graphic design and photo-graphics, his best-known work being the logo for the Woolmark brand. His works are preserved in some of the most important international museums including the MOMA in New York, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
