Helena Covell
Helena Covell is a Yorkshire-born, London-based freelance illustrator and character designer. She graduated with a BA in Illustration from Edinburgh College of Art in 2015 and has since developed a wonderfully playful visual language built around cheeky, lighthearted characters in lively, graphic settings.
Her client list includes Adidas, Nike, Primark, JD Sports, The V&A, and It's Nice That. Among her most celebrated projects is a custom arcade machine painted for the V&A's landmark exhibition Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt, and the children's book Jumble Wood (Nobrow), which she wrote and illustrated. She has been actively exhibiting across the UK, expanding her practice well beyond commercial illustration into gallery and publishing contexts.
