Natsuko Kowatsu is the creator of the character, Kazukuma, Illustrator, Picture book Author. She started working as an illustrator in 1995.

After winning the Shinpusha Picture Book Contest Excellence Award in 2004, she published “Suuji no Ehon” from Shinpusha in 2005. Since then, as an illustrator and picture book author, she has provided illustrations in various fields such as advertisements, books, pamphlets, stationery, educational materials and web media.

The Picture Book “Kazukuma” was published by Shogakukan in 2019. It is being developed as a popular character that transcends generations and genders.
