Born in Kanagawa Prefecture Japan in 1973. He is the father of two children. He has published a number of works, such as sketch collections and children's books that cut casual scenes from everyday life at a unique angle. His picture book debut work, "Ringo Kamayarenai" won the 6th MOE Picture Book Store Grand Prize 1st place. Received the 51st New Wind Award for "What will she do after this?" and a special prize at the Bologna Ragazzi Award for "Mou Nugenai".
