Graduated from the Faculty of Design at Kyoto Seika University.
Since 2016, umao has been working as an illustrator across books, advertising, web, and other media.
In December 2022, umao's first art book DAISUKI was published.
Actively presents work through solo exhibitions as well.

Fond of animals and the color blue, umao's art is characterized by soft blue tones and charming animal motifs—creating a gentle, heartwarming world that quietly touches the viewer’s heart.
