Born in Okayama Prefecture Japan in 1884. A painter, designer, and writer representing Taisho era romance. Yumeji's paintings of beautiful women had a unique style, and had a great influence on girl's culture and women's fashion at the time. He worked extensively, including graphic design, clothing design, sheet music binding and magazine illustrations. He died in 1934.
